Mediation

Mediation

Mediation is the proceeding for the settlement of a dispute or controversy by interposing an independent person between two contending parties in order to assist in the settlement of their disagreement. Mediation is a voluntary process for the resolution of disputes and operates through an ethical communication characterised by people’s striving to resume a dialogue and to find a solution to their situation.

The purpose of The Euro-Mediterranean ADR Centre is to provide mediation proceedings with utmost professionalism. The mediation process is a process which can be placed in the centre of intercultural dialogue and establish the restoration of social links.

The mediation process provided by The Euro-Mediterranean ADR Centre is an effective yet challenging alternative to other forms of dispute resolution. The aim of the mediation process is to provide the proper environment for a constructive and positive mediation dialogue.

The Centre’s Mediation Rules govern the proceedings and role of mediators and give guidance to mediators in their work.
